Christmas this year was a lot of fun. Macy definitely understood a little more than she did last year. Christmas Eve we spent with my family. We did the same as last year and only bought for the kids which seems to work out really well.. And is so much fun seeing them get excited about the gifts they receive.

Since my sisters new house is being built and she is living at my parents house until it is finished. Santa this year visited Macy & Kinley at Nana and Papa's house. I loved watching how excited Kinley was to set out the milk and cookies and then see them gone the next morning. But even more, I am so thankful Macy was able to celebrate Christmas morning with her. I don't know if Macy will ever have a sibling so it was pretty special to me to see her have some one by her side.
The girls must have been pretty good this year because the Big Guy sure did good!

Well our hippo pics were definitely a lot harder to take this year. She is a MOVER and a SHAKER that's for sure!

We can not believe that you are a whole year old. You have brought such joy and laughter to this house and I honestly don't know what we ever did with out you. I am so excited about watching you grow and learn more over this next year. It is crazy to me to think about what I will be writing about this time next year. You have went from a completely helpless newborn baby to a strong willed and an independent as can be at this point toddler. Blows my mind!

I can not believe that my sweet girl is ONE year old! I know everyone says it but I swear I was just in the hospital and bringing her home yesterday.... wasnt I?

Macy's birthday was Saturday December 10, and we celebrated her day with a candy themed party at Nana & Papa's house. We had a really good turn out of family and friends and everyone had such a good time.

11 months

* I know this post is late, but once again we have been sick in our house for the past 2 weeks.*

I can not believe that my sweet baby girl is 11 months old. She is growing up right before our eyes and we are finding our selves daily asking each other " do you remember when....."
I know I say it every month, but this past month has definitely been the "funnest" so far. This kid is into everything...... =)

Stats:

Weight- 18.9 pounds

Height- 29"

Still taking 6 ounces of formula at a time. And here lately doesn't even want that.

Starting more table foods: You love... peas, carrots, mashed potatoes, noodles, green beans, goldfish, oatmeal, cheerios, spaghetti.

You are a great sleeper.... When your not sick! Still sleeping from 8pm-7:15

You started taking a couple of steps on 2 or 3 days before Halloween.. That only lasted about a week and now you are walking everywhere and even getting up on your own with NO assistance. Which takes us back to the "remember when??"
You have cut 2 top teeth.. HOWEVER they are not your front teeth. They are the 2 on either side of them.
You are starting to bring us things we ask you for.

You know where your eyes are. And will point to them.

This month however has hit hard with sickness in this household! You had a stomach virus which landed you in the ER with dehydration... Then 2 weeks later you started running fever 103.8 for 5 days to which ended up being Roseola.. And then just 5 days later (last week) you were sick again with RSV.. I hope that all the germs are going to stay away for awhile!

I am saying it again this month... I can not believe that you are 11 months old. And that we are going to be celebrating your birthday in a couple of weeks. You are growing up before my eyes and there is nothing I can do about it. I can't wait to see what the next month holds for you and what you learn to do.

Macy's 1st Halloween

I feel like I have waited forever to be able to dress my baby up for Halloween.

I started looking about 5 months ago for her costume and once I saw the princess poodle I knew that was what Macy was supposed to wear on her 1st Halloween.

It was so cute! And the long little ears with bows, fit my little lady perfectly!

This past Saturday my mom came to town to spend the weekend and Halloween with us. I have been wanting to take Macy to a pumpkin patch but honestly could not find one that I thought was worth the hassle to visit. A friend told me of a church out by her house that had a small little patch that didn't seem to be to crowded. So Saturday after Nana got here, we loaded up and headed to the patch! Of course Macy had no idea why she was sitting with a bunch of big orange things with mom, dad and Nana hollering and laughing trying to get her to pay attention and smile big and pretty for the camera. I think we ended up with some really cute pictures and we may have just started a little family tradition. ;)

I don't know if I will ever have two little girls that I can dress up in matching clothes.
So until then I am all about matching cousins.

Kinley loved the fact that they had the same dresses and they looked alike.. Hopefully she feels the same when she is 16 Macy is 12 and Presley is 11... And we still are dressing them to match for holidays. ;)

My mom bought the girls these dresses Halloween last year (before Macy was even born). So we had our fingers crossed that they would fit in them come time this year. And Waa-Laa!

I know I'm posting this a few days late we've been a little busy and a little sick around here.

This month has flown by and my sweetie pie is no longer in 'single digits". I can not believe we have a 10 month old little girl living in our house. She is getting so big and learning so much each day.

Stats:
Weight: 18.5 pounds
Height: 28 inches

Still on 6 ounces of formula about every 4 hours. You go longer between feedings when you are with me and daddy. But the sitter panics and thinks you have to eat!!!

You are on stage 3 foods:

You typically eat cereal for breakfast, stage 2 fruit or veggie for lunch and stage 3 food for dinner.

You have started to eat a couple of table foods as well... Spaghetti, mashed potatoes,carrots, greenbeans, peas

You sleep from 8pm-7:15 am.

You are crawling ALL OVER THE PLACE

A few weeks ago we took Macy to finally have her pictures taken. Seriously I have been that mom.She had professional pictures taken when she was born and besides the pictures I have taken she has not had any others. Sad I know. I got this little red hat at my baby shower from 1 of my moms good friends. I have tried it on her a bunch of times and it has always been too big. So as soon as it fit, I scheduled the appointment for pictures. And they turned out so much better than I had hoped. The tutu she is wearing was a gift from my sister as well at my baby shower. And I knew then as well, that as soon as she fit into the little monogrammed shirt it was time for pics.Hope you enjoy!

Here we go again.... This month is a little bitter sweet as it is your last " single digit" month. You are growing up so fast and learning so much each and every day. You love to be down on the floor so you can get in to everything. =) As tiring as it is, its so much fun to watch what you are into next.

1st family vacation

We hit the road on July 15 for 7 days of family fun in Port Aransas. Jeff has been going on family vacations to Port A pretty much all his life and the 1st trip I ever remember going with him and his parents was to Port A ( we were 16) So it was pretty special to both of us to be able to take Macy there on her 1st beach trip.
We arrived on Friday afternoon and just took it easy and got settled in. On Saturday we took Macy to hang out at the beach for a bit.

Sunday we spent most of the afternoon at the pool... I think we have a water baby

On Monday we all decided to go to The Texas State Aquarium for the day. It was actually pretty neat. Macy LOVED watching the fish swim around. But My favorite was probably the dolphin exhibit. (as always)

Tuesday there was more swimming

Wednesday me and Macy took it easy. Daddy and the boys went deep sea fishing and the other girls went to the beach. We just spent the day hanging out at the condo.
Thursday we went to town and did a little shopping and then the 3 of us and Juju went to lunch.

We ate lunch at Castaways and had the BEST burger ever. It was delish! Macy watched a little barney while we waited.

Sorry for the picture over load. But like I said we were there for 7 days. We had a great time and cant wait to get back next year. Vacation definitely is different when you have your own little one to consider and make decisions around, but we had a blast. I am so excited about going back next year and seeing how much Macy has grown. And to see her be able to walk around and play in the sand.
But until then.... on to our next adventure!

Slacker

I always thought when I finally had a baby I would have so much to blog about and be able to keep my family up to date on everything. Not saying that I don't have anything to blog/write about, I just flat out do not have the time anymore. Can't imagine why! So anyways I figured to get all caught up I would just combine everything over the past few months into one big ole' post. Keep in mind that my child will be 8 months old in a couple of week and some of these pictures go back to...... 4 months old. I know I am a slacker, but the 1st step is to admit it right?

When Macy turned 4 months old.. (April 2011) we started rice cereal. And she LOVED it!

We went to the lake and had our 1st family picnic

May rolled around and I celebrated my 1st mothers day

Macy finally outgrew her bath tub and moved to a BIG girl seat for the regular tub.

We celebrated daddy's birthday with some delicious cookie cake of course

In June we celebrated daddy's 1st fathers day...
(I'm so blessed to have these 2)

1st trip to the beach with some pretty cool cousins.

daddy got to babysit... and macy got to play in the toy chest. LOL

Came home from the sitter running 102.8 for 4 days straight... No other symptoms. And spent ALOT of time in cool baths.
(she really looks sick to huh?)

In July we blew up the pool and went swimming in the back yard... She had such a good time and we are already looking forward to pulling it out again.

We have worked ALOT on cutting our bottom teeth.. And yesterday July 26, 2011 we finally got our 1st tooth and today July 27, 2011 we woke up with our 2nd. No more gummy grins makes this momma so sad =(

We also took our 1st family vacation in July but that is another post.

wheww... well I think that was a QUICK run down of the past 4 months. I can't make any promises, but I will try to be better about posting pictures of my growin' girl.

7 MONTHS OLD

This by far has proved to be the fastest month yet. I swear she just turned 6 months old yesterday. She doesn't have any "official" stats this month since she does not go back to the doctor until she is 9 months old.

Beginning to try and crawl. You will pull your legs up under you, yet you are not sure what to do next.

Still no teeth as of yet

Wearing 6 month clothes, and still a few 3 months.

You have done well sleeping in your crib this past month and have been sleeping through the night. You go to bed around 730pm and I have to wake you up most mornings at 7am

You are still taking 6 ounces every 4 hours. (except at night)

You can't stand to be by your self (yet this isn't new) and you MUST have someone with you at ALL times!

Holding your bottle really well all by yourself. Possibly time for a cup!

I don't even know what to say or where to begin this month. You are getting so big and learning so much so quick. We are so excited to watch you being to crawl and we can't wait until you figure it all out. But seriously, I wish you would slow this growing up thing down just a tad.

I know that I have been a horrible blogger lately. But since a certain little someone takes up pretty much all my time I barely have time to clean my house much less blog as often as I would like. :(

She is growing like a weed and I can not believe that she is already 6 1/2 months old. December will be here before I know it. She is learning more and more every day and she is now a full time sitter upper! She scoots all over my house and will get any where she wants in just a matter of a few seconds. Once she figures out this crawling thing.... It ALL over! As anxious as I am to see her learn and accomplish that new task, I don't want her to figure it out either. We still have not cut any teeth yet but she sure is chewing on everything!

1st Beach Trip

Aunt Shelly, Aunt Jamie and the clan all came to Galveston for the weekend and rented a condo. We decided this year since Macy was small and they were so close to "home" we would just meet them down there for the day. So yesterday, we loaded up and headed to Pointe West! We had a blast!!!! Macy saw the ocean for the 1st time.... AND I didn't even get a picture! We played in the pool and the lazy river. Which means she also swam for the 1st time... AND I didn't even get a picture. YES I had my camera but just forgot. :(

She loved the water and I think we just may have a water baby on our hands.
All the kids had a great time and Macy enjoyed "playing" with her cousins. And I am pretty sure they enjoyed her as well.
I can't wait till next year. I hope that we are able to ALL go as a family with Nana and Papa.

6 MONTHS OLD

I can not believe that my baby girl is already 6 months old! Seriously... Half a year has already gone by. She has been pretty busy this past month. So I'll get right to the point.

6 Month Stats
weight: 16 pounds
height: 25 1/4

Rolling all over the living room.
And wants to crawl so bad she can taste it!

Finally in size 2 diapers

Can still wear size 3 month clothes however is also wearing 6 months as well

Teething like crazy but no pearly white yet.

Holding her bottle herself

Eating cereal for breakfast, veggie or fruit for lunch, and veggie or fruit for dinner.

Taking 6 ounces every 4 hours still, however some days she will go 5-6 hours.

Moved to her crib from the pack & play in our room last week. And seems to be doing well.

Goes to bed between 7-8 and for the past week has slept anywhere from 8-10 hours at night. **KNOCK ON WOOD**

This is a hard month for me to swallow. I can not believe that you came in to our lives just 6 short months ago. Our lives have changed so much over the past 6 months but I would not trade any of it for anything in the world. You seem to have changed from a infant to a little girl this month. And as excited as I am to watch you grow and learn new things, it breaks my heart a little. So if you could slow it down just a bit I would really appreciate it. ;)

Geez Louise...... Macy Moo you have done it again. Where is the time going? Seriously! I absolutely can not believe that we now have a 5 month old. What are you up to now.....

Finally moved up in diaper size. You are in a 1-2, not officially in 2's yet but it wont be long.

Still wearing size 0-3 clothes, although you really cant wear any pants/shorts/skirts... as you have no waist or hiney to hold anything up. ;)

Rolling over from Back to Stomach

Taking 6 ounces every 4 hours..And you are NOT late for a meal EVER!

You started eating cereal and baby foods this month. You didn't care for green beans or peas at 1st but now you are eating what ever we give you.

You are chewing on everything.... I don't think it will be much longer before you have a little pearly white shining though. Which breaks my heart because I love your gummy grins and I sure will miss them. :*(

Your reflux issues are much better and you take your medicine like a CHAMP every morning.

Over the past couple of weeks you are starting to nap during the day a little better. Instead of 5-30 minutes at a time. You are now taking a long morning and a long afternoon nap.

You are pretty attached to mommy and seem to only want me to put you to sleep at night. Cant say that I mind though. =)

I ended up having to take you to the doctor today and you were diagnosed with a upper respiratory infection and you were started on amoxicilln twice a day for the next 10 days. Your weight today was 14 lbs. 13 oz. YAY you finally doubled your birth weight!!! ( by 5 ounces) and you are also 25.5 inches long!

You have really started showing us who you are this month. Your little personality sure has started to shine through. And for the most part you are a happy/smiley baby girl. We look forward to seeing what surprises you have for us over the next month.

This past year has defiantly been a whirl wind. Last year I woke up on Easter morning and took a pregnancy test and found out that we were finally expecting the baby we had dreamed so long for. And here I sat this year with her in my lap.=)

We celebrated Easter a little different this year. On Saturday we spent the afternoon with my family and and had lunch and did a little egg hunting. Then Saturday evening we went out to Jeff's family to celebrate Abby's birthday and have another hunt. Then on Sunday we had lunch with my parents and headed back home to Houston.

4 Months Old

I can't believe I am already writing a 4 month post. Geezz... It still seems like it was yesterday that she joined our little family.

Here are just a few things our baby girl has been up to since our post last month.

She had her 4 month check up and shots on Friday 4/8/11

1 vaccine by mouth

Started with the sitter this past month. (3/21/11). Macy seems to be doing ok, however I still have a hard time with it every day.

Started cereal last week. And she seems to really like it.

She will start stage 1 foods soon. Mommy is pretty excited about this =)

Taking any where from 5-6 oz of formula every 4 hours

Still sleeping in the pack in play in my room. She is probably ready to go to her bed but I can't do it yet.

Started rolling from belly to back last month and is trying really hard to now roll from her back to belly.

Wearing 0-3 mo clothes. And some are even big!

Still in size 1 diapers

She is trying really hard to hold her own bottle

She hardly ever takes naps during the day. It is the strangest thing I have ever seen. She will only go down from 10-20 minutes at a time and she fights you like crazy not to go to sleep.

She has found her Bubba a.k.a Spencer and laughs when she sees him. ( he is now becoming afraid of her, and avoids her at all cost.)

Made her 1st road trip back to Waco since she was 5 weeks old. And did really well.

Mommy and daddy love you so very much. We have enjoyed watching you grow and learn new things over the past 4 months. As much as we miss our sleeping in on Saturday mornings, I couldn't trade getting up with the chickens and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for anything in the world. :)

Acid Reflux

The past few months have had its up's and down's with miss priss and her crying spells. I talked to her pediatrician at her 2 month check up and she said that it sounded like colic. She was just crying more often than what I felt like was normal and it seemed to gradually be getting worse rather than better.

Last Thursday I notice that she just didn't seem her little happy self. Friday started off with her waking up at 5:15 and literally screaming until 7:00 when she finally just fell back to sleep. She was off and on fussy so I figured she was probably getting sick or something. THEN Saturday showed up.. OMG when I say this this child cried ALL day I am not exaggerating at all. She woke up at 8:30AM and cried... scratch that she SCREAMED all day long. She would not nap anywhere but in my arms and even then it was just 10-15 minutes. Finally she went to bed at 9:30 PM. We were all 3 exhausted and totally frustrated by the time we crashed for the night. She woke up the next morning at 4 am and of course she was screaming again.She was fed, and changed so there was nothing physically wrong with her. Jeff was ready to take her to the ER to make sure there wasn't something else going on. But the nurse in me did not want to just jump on running to the ER for no reason. And I just kept telling myself we can make it till Monday, its only 1 more day.
Well by 2pm I couldn't take it anymore. She was eating fine, normal voiding and BMs, no belly ache no fever but I was convinced it was probably an ear infection. I decided we needed to take her to the minor ER/urgent care center. Of course once we get there and get checked in and the doctor comes in to see her. She is all smiles and coo's and it seems as nothing is wrong. He checks her over and her ears are clear. From all the symptoms that we discussed with him he said that she had acid reflux! WHAT!!!! AR babies have projectile vomiting and spit- up alot. Macy has never done either. EVER! He gave us his diagnosis and sent us home with instructions to follow up with our Pedi the next day.
So that's what we did. Dr Cox saw us last Monday and confirmed the ER docs diagnosis. She said with out vomiting/spit up it is called "silent reflux" she wrote us a prescription for prevacid. To which must be compounded at a specialty pharmacy. Macy has now been on the Rx for 10 days and she honestly seems 100% better. And if we could get her to stop fighting her sleep we would be good to go!
It just breaks my heart that my baby girl has been hurting for so long and we just thought it was colic. This all started when she was about 7 weeks old.... She'll be 4 months on Sunday. My poor baby =(

"School"

Well I was forced to face reality this last week. Macy started "school" on Monday March 21.

It was by far the worst day ever! Yes it was hard when I went back to work 4 weeks ago but she was still at home and was either with my mom (nana), or Jeff's mom (JuJu) or her daddy. So it was more of me just transitioning back into work mode. But last Monday was by far the worst! It is just not normal to carry your baby for 9 months and then spend some many weeks at home just you and them. And then be expected to drop them off with some one you really don't know. We decided not to place her in a daycare center right now as we were a little more comfortable with a home sitter. We met with a few ladies and choose for her to stay with Ms. Naomi..or as Macy will know her Ms. Mimi. She came highly recommended and actually ended up being the aunt of one of the nurses I work with.

We got to Ms. Mimi's at 7:15 and went through Macy's whole schedule, I went over all her little quirks... aka pickyness. =) Spent about 15 minutes watching her with Macy. Then it was time for me to leave. I had already cried all morning so I thought for sure I had already got it all out. Well I was wrong. I picked Macy up and lost it again. I kissed my girl, gave her a hug and told her I hoped she had a good day and handed her to the Ms. Mimi. Wiped my tears and left.
I walked out the front door and felt like I could not let go of the door knob. To close the door and walk away from her, get in my car and know that I was not going to be back for 8 hours... Was horrible.

I know that every mother goes through these same emotions, and I know that over time it will get easier. But that day at that time I honestly didn't care what everyone else has/had to go through, or that over time it would get better. I was leaving MY BABY for the 1st time with someone I have barely met and trusting her with my most prized possession. At the end of the day I could not wait to get my girl. According to Ms.Mimi everyone had a pretty good day. And for the 1st day that is all that I had hope for. But I sure am glad that day is BEHIND me.

My goodness I can not believe that I am posting another month update already , much less a 3 month update. I swear I just did this. Our little miss has been pretty busy this month. So Ill get right to it..

3 month stats:

Finally grew out of all newborn clothes a couple of weeks ago.

This week started drinking 5 oz. of formula. And is doing well with the increase.

Found her hands 2/26/11

She rolled over last week from her tummy to her back 3/3/11

laughed out loud last week as well 3/6/11

Sleeping longer at night. Even though we still have the random night of up every 4 hours wanting to eat. Here lately though she has been taking her last bottle between 8:30-9:00 and is down by 10:00. And has been sleeping till 5-6:30am.

colic issues seem to be resolving them selves this week. =)

I went back to work this month and both of us seem to have adjusted as good as can be expected with that. However she has been with Nana, Juju and daddy. She spends her last week this next week with Nana and then she starts childcare on the 21st. I am not looking forward to that AT ALL!

She does not go back to the doctor until next moth so as far as an "official" weight that will come on the next post. Just my guess I would have to say she is 11.5-12 pounds.

Well Sweetheart you have done it again. How did you become another month older so quickly? You are such a sweet girl. And you are all smiles all the time! We thought you were talking last month, but you have really found your voice and you LOVE you use it =). Over this last month our clean/neat house has turned into what looks like a daycare with all of your toys and stuff everywhere. But I would not trade it for anything in the world.I told you this last month and I'll probably tell you this again next month. But could you really slow down with this growing up thing. At this rate you'll be moving out before I know it.

That's right folks we have a roller on our hands. I laid her on her tummy time mat yesterday and much to my surprise she rolled over! I couldn't believe it. In the misted of all the tears and "way to go's" I quickly grabbed my phone and camera and flipped her back over and waited and waited and waited...And wouldn't you know it, she would not roll over again.
So we woke up this morning and tried again. This time camera and video in hand. And Waa-Laa she did it again.=) Who knew you could be so happy yet so sad about such a huge milestone in your child's life. I guess it's just another reminder that she is growing up whether we like it or not.

Such a bitter sweet day!

Friday (2/11/11) was a pretty hard day for me. It was my last day of maternity leave before I return to work bright and early Monday morning. I still can not believe that my baby girl is 2 months old already and that my time is up with her. And now I have to share her with everyone. I am only going back 2 1/2 days a week for now and my mom, Jeff's mom and Jeff will have her for the next 5 weeks so the transition should be easier on me hopefully. I know Macy will be okay, or at least I hope she will be ( she is kind of a mommas girl....bad). Which may make it harder on them.
On our last full day together we spend most of the day snuggling on the couch, then played a little dress up and took some pictures. She played very well with mommy and changed her clothes many times. Such a little trooper!
I will cherish my time that I had with her every day for the rest of my life. These first few weeks have been nothing but amazing, fun, exhausting, exciting, and a whole lot of learning for each of us. I sure am going to miss my girl!

Where's Macy?

2 Months Old

Macy Nicole is 2 months old today. I absolutely can not believe how fast time is going. She is growing and changing so fast every day, and every time I think she has slowed down there is something else new. She is smiling and "talking" ALL the time, and mommy can't get enough of it. For the most part she is a pretty happy baby. Yet we think she may have a little bit of colic. =( She is eating 4 ounces ever 4 hours and just this past week she has started sleeping though the night a little better. She usually is down for the night around 10pm and has been sleeping till 4-5 o'clock the next morning. With in this last week she is starting to grow out of her newborn clothes and newborn diapers. As of today she is officially wearing size 1 diapers. (because we are out of newborns and well I am not buying anymore) The change in her clothes has been pretty hard for me, I guess I just feel like she is not a baby anymore.

She still loves to lay on her changing table and talk and smile. She is sleeping better at night because of her swaddle pod. She is a mommas girl! As long as I am right with her I will let her take her naps on her tummy on the couch and she LOVES it. She is still not a huge fan of her car seat but she loves to ride in the car. And in her short 2 months she has already made two 3.5 hour trips to Waco. Her best friend is still her passy. She loves taking a bath, as this month we moved her from the hammock that lays across he water to her actually sitting down in the water. It still catches her by surprise each time I put her in but she doesn't mind. She loves her swing but has began to give it a second thought this past week when we put her in it, I hope this passes. And she does not care to much for her bouncy seat, but she loves her gym play mat.

Macy had her 2 month well baby check up today with her doctor. She was a trooper too, she received 3 vaccines and another by mouth. She cried for just a few seconds and then it was all over.
2 month stats:
Weight: 10 pounds - 28.90 percentile
Height: 22 1.4" - 83.70 percentile
Head: 38.5cm - 44.95 percentile
She gained 2 pounds since her 3 week check up and grew 2 inches.

*Nana bought our little hungry hungry hippo a pink hippo for valentines day to pose with for her monthly pictures. =)

We have to have our crib pose as well though to see just how much she has grown from last month.

I can not believe you have been in our lives for 2 months already. It seems like we only met you yesterday. I have enjoyed spending every single day with you the time that I have been off work. And I cant believe that I have to leave you to go back on Monday. It honestly breaks my heart. For the next 5 weeks you will be spending 2 1/2 days a week with your Nana, Juju and daddy while I go back part time for a couple of months. And then you will start your in home daycare. This has made the whole transition for me leaving you a little easier, but I still can not stand it. I am going to miss you something awful. So please do me a favor... don't grow up to fast so that I miss it, no 1st with anyone else if I'm not there.

When Macy 1st came home from the hospital she loved to be all swaddled up when she went to bed. After a couple of weeks for what ever reason I got to where I was not wrapping her as tight I guess. So she pretty much got used to just "covered up" to go to bed. Over the last 2 weeks I noticed that she has not been sleeping as sound and startles a lot at night, because she is either laughing or "talking" in her sleep. So last week I decided to go buy a swaddle blanket since she is starting to out grow her receiving blankets. Who knew that they had so many different ones to choose from. Of course I could not make up my mind so I decided to buy 2. One was the Swaddle ME to which you put her in and velcro it across her and the other is a Swaddle Pod with is made out of cotton/spandex and it zips up. I tried out the Pod 1st and she has done great in it. Once she is all zipped up she is out within 5-10 minutes. (knock on wood). So I decided to see a couple of night ago if she would do as good in the other. Well wouldn't you know, she hated it. As soon as I velcroed it together she started screaming. I took her out and put her directly in the other and she stopped crying and went straight to sleep. From what I can tell the Swaddle ME really restricts their movement quite a bit. And with the Pod she can move her arms around it just does not allow her to startle/jerk. My only regret with this thing is not buying it sooner.

Last week our good friends Scott & Lori came out to meet Macy and brought her a cute little passy.As most of you know she is addicted to her pacifier. And of course it would not be a cute one it would have to be the big green circle that they gave her while she was in the hospital. I don't really care which on she takes as long as she loves it but the soothie is just so dang hard for her to keep in her mouth. Scott & Lori bought her a wubbanub. For me this thing has been a god send! It has a cute little worm that is attached to the end of the passy and gives it just enough weight that she can not push it out of her mouth as easy. =) And it's pretty darn cute too. I want to buy 1 of each animal.

What are am I talking about you ask?? Well, when Macy came home from the hospital we had her on Enfamil newborn formula. She was on it for 2 weeks when she started having a lot of painful gas and started becoming pretty fussy especially in the evening.

So on December 28, we decided it was time to try a different formula to see if we could get her to feeling better. So off to HEB we went. After reading every formula and every ingredient, we decided that Enfamil Gentlease was the way we needed to go. I mean it WAS for Fussiness & Gas.... After a couple of days the fussiness was better and for the most part the painful gas was better but she was passing gas ALL the time! Then we noticed her bowels started to change consistency and she was only going to the bathroom every 48-72 hours. This maybe normal for some babies but before we changed her formula she was going at least once a day. Two weeks into changing to the Gentlease (Jan. 13), I noticed that her face started breaking out again. At first it just really looked like baby acne again. But within a couple of days it had turned into Eczema all over her cheeks, chin, crease of her nose, and behind her ears. After a lot of research I finally came across a website (babycenter.com) 10 days later. And there were a lot of women that had posted the exact same symptoms that Macy was having just 2-3 weeks after starting this formula. I could not believe that I was reading my baby was allergic to her formula.

So at midnight I was up dumping out bottles that I had made for the night and just by chance Similac had mailed me a sample of Similac Sensitive over Thanksgiving that I had saved. So I made up a couple of bottles. Within the first 4 bottles I could tell that her face was already starting to improve. Still breaks my heart to know I was giving her something that was hurting her. So we have been on the Sensitive now for a week and her face has completely cleared up. Her bowels are still moving about the same but the consistency is not as much like play-do anymore. Her gas has also improved, yet she is still gassy.

The only reason that I am not a huge fan of this formula is because it is so foamy/bubbly when you mix it up. Which was the reason for most of her gas when we switched her. So after alittle research again, I went a bought the Dr.Brown's formula pitcher. It is awesome as far as I am concerned. You can make up a whole days worth of bottles and then just pour them as you need them. And it completely takes out all the bubbles from the over the top foamy Similac. And when used with the Dr. Brown's bottles we defiantly have had less gas.

SO hopefully with these 2 new things combined we are on the right track this time. We shall see! Who knew that formula could be such a head ache. You would think that formula is formula right? WRONG!

My next mission is to find a women/children shelter to donate ALL of the Enfamil that I have stocked up on over the preceding 10-11 months. The bottom shelf of my pantry is full of it and I can't stand to see it go to waste. Especially knowing how expensive this stuff is.

Moral of this story... If you start a formula and your child breaks out in any type of rash with in 2-3 week after, It is what you are feeding him/her. And stay away from this stuff

I have dreamed so long about sending out birth announcements of our baby to our friends and family. That it is still a little bit surreal that I am announcing to everyone that she is finally here!
If you read my post early on about how we found out we were having a girl. Then you understand why the pink bunny is in the picture as well.

I was going back through some of my pictures from when Macy 1st arrived and I realized that I did not post a couple of pictures that are pretty important to me. I work for the physician that took care of me through my pregnancy. And I have always said that if I ever got pregnant that I would never see any of the doctors that I work for just because of the whole weird factor. Once I found out I was pregnant and my infertility doctor released me from his care to my regular ObGyn. I knew with out a doubt that I wanted Dr. Champion to take care of me and my baby.

With knowing what all we went through to get pregnant and not having any luck with the reproductive endocrinologist we were seeing she recommended we see Dr. Dunn. She said "If it was me or my sisters he is who I would go to." So that's what I did. Within the next month I was sitting in his office and we were off on the next part of this journey. And 6 months later he had us pregnant! I felt like I owed Dr. Champion everything. In my eyes God put her in my life to direct me and Jeff down the right road, because clearly we had been on the wrong one.

When I asked her if she would take care of me during my pregnancy her response was "I would be honored to take care you and your baby." It wasn't so much me that I was concerned about but I wanted my child to have what I thought was the best care possible. She allowed me to trust her completely (which is not something I do easily). She worried about things for me so that I could enjoy my pregnancy. Since I live and breath Ob/Gyn every single day, she made it known over and over again that she did not want me to just assume anything or feel like I already knew what was going on since I deal with problems and questions from our patients everyday. This was my 1st pregnancy and she wanted it special for me. If I had any questions no matter how little or big I was to come to her and talk to her about it. I always felt completely taken care of.

I was scheduled for my induction on December 8 fully knowing that I was an elective induction. Meaning that if another patient(s) come in to L&D or were scheduled for inductions due to medical reasons that I would be bumped to another day or even off the schedule completely. Sure enough on 12/7 Dr. Champion called me into her office and said that she had been to L&D and was told that I was not looking so good to get in for that night.. Due to others with medical issues that "beat" me out. I had already prepared myself weeks ahead of time that this would happen. So I was okay, disappointed but okay. I could see a look come across her face like she had let me down. Which was not the case and at that moment I felt like I was trying to make her feel better about the whole situation. We decided together to just start the induction on 12/9 with a deliver day of 12/10/10.

I woke up the next morning feeling anxious,nervous,scared and everything in between. Over the course of the day I received quite a few text messages from her encouraging me and letting me know that everything was going to be okay. On the way to the hospital that night she text again to let me know she was still thinking about us and that she would see me the next morning before she went to the clinic.

At 7:30am she walked through the door of my labor room. We talked, she did what she had to do and then let me know she would be watching me and Macy over the computer at the clinic and she would see me again in a couple of hours. After she left that is when Macy's heart rate started "acting up" and she was texting me again letting me know that even though she wasn't there she could see everything and that everything was still okay and that I didn't need to worry about anything. After her morning was over at the clinic she came back and hung out at the hospital until I delivered. This is when I saw just exactly what kind of doctor I had. When Macy's heart rate started decelerating and I was beginning to be prepped for an emergency C-Section she came to the head of my bed, saw that I was crying and gave me a hug. Whispered in my ear again that she was going to make sure Macy was safe and everything would be fine. Once we were in the OR and the surgery had started the next words I heard out of her mouth were. " Well hello Macy, hi there pretty girl." And then she showed me my daughter for the 1st time.

I feel like I owe her everything I have for doing exactly what she said she would do. Taking care of both of us.

This father/daughter duo was on Ellen this afternoon and I absolutely fell in love with this little girl. How cute is she!!!!!! After she sang with her daddy, Ellen came out and talked to the both of them and gave the little girl a PINK Cadillac and a bunch of new barbies. Alexa was more concerned with wanting to meet, shake hands and hug the audience members that she just told Ellen thank you and walked off to meet everyone. So Sweet!

My sweet baby girl is a whole 1 month old today, where has the time already gone. I can not believe that a month ago today I was in the hospital in labor and looking forward to meeting my sweet girl by the end of the day. And all I did was blink and she has been here a month.

Just a few things she has been up to this month:
* At birth she weighed 7lb. 8oz., when she left the hospital 3 days later she was 7lb.5oz, and when she went to her 1st Dr. appt at 5 days old she was 7lb. 3oz. Dr. Cox increased her formula from 2 oz to 3 oz and at her next follow up on 1/3/11 she was 8lb. 5oz. Growing girl!

*She is a pretty good sleeper and only wakes for a bottle at night every 4 hours. Last week she did have a 6 hour stretch but that has only happened once but mommy was oh so grateful for the extra 2 hours of sleep. =)

*She has been lifting her head and turning it from side to side since she was 2 days old. And everyday she is getting stronger... Still amazes me!

*She is such a little snuggler and I don't want to ever this stop!

*She hates to have a wet diaper!!! And she LOVES just hanging out and laying on her changing table. For what ever reason it totally calms her down.

*She sleeps on her back at night however during the day I will place her next to me on the couch on her belly and she will sleep for hours.

So many people prayed for you for so long. And our prayers were answered on April 4, 2010 when we found out we were pregnant. And our dreams came true on December 10,2010 at 6:32pm when we heard your cry for the 1st time. I will never forgot that moment as long as I live. I am so glad that God chose me and your daddy to be your parents. We love you to the moon and back.

Favorite Things

Just a couple of little things I want to remember and be able to look back on later. I could sit here all day and just stare at this little miracle. I cant get enough of her little hands and feet. They are just so tiny. I love that she always tends to point her big toe (on both feet) up. And how her middle toe on her right foot sets just slightly behind the others. I love that she has her daddy's toes however we are not sure where the long and skinny feet come from.

I love that her hands and fingers are so incredibly long. Maybe we will have a pianist on our hands one day. I love that she can grip her fist so tight that you cant make her open them. Which leaves me wondering how is she already stronger than me ?

I love when she sleeps she always has a wrinkle between her eyes. And leaves her mouth slightly open so you can see bubbles forming around her tiny lips.

I love how when its time to eat the look on her face is so serious. Pure business!

I love how right before your put the bottle in her tiny mouth she sticks out her little tongue.

I love how when I talk to her when I feed her, her bottle she acts like she knows exactly what I am saying.

I love how when I burp her she holds on to my arm with her tiny little hand.

I love how much she loves her bath time. And how darn cute she looks in her little hooded towels.

This is only a short list of the multitude of things I LOVE about this sweet baby girl of mine. I could literally go on all day. Me and her daddy sure did hit the jack pot with this one. =)

This time last year I had no idea what would be in store for us in just a few short months. If you were to have told me that on New Years Day 2011 I would be holding my bran new 22 day old baby in my arms, I honestly would not have believed you. We went through so much to just get pregnant and for things to start off in 2010 for us the way the did and then end the year with Macy is still amazing to me. I know everyone says this after the birth of their child but I honestly don't know what we ever did with out her. She fits into our family perfectly! I had no idea that I could love someone so much in such a short amount of time. And I am completely overwhelmed with how much I love her. I told Jeff a few days ago that I am so glad that the 3 IUI's we had earlier in our journey to become pregnant did not work because if 1 had we would not have THE Macy we have today! I have said it before and I'll say it again.... It's all about the Lord's perfect timing.

Christmas Morning

Macy made it just in time for Santa to come and see her this year. =) And she must have been a pretty good girl the whole 15 days she was here. Not only was Santa good to her but me and her daddy got out our little Christmas miracle. Christmas is defiantly different when you have a little one. And as much as I want her to stay the size she is forever, I can't wait to see her eyes light up every year with excitement as she comes running in the living room to see what Santa has surprised her with.

This year he brought her 2 new baby dolls, a glow sea horse, light up blocks, some keys, a tummy time mat. And a stocking full of all kinds of goodies.

After lunch we opened gifts with my side of the family. I only got a couple of pictures of what Macy got as everyone else was busy helping the other kids open their gifts. But here are a couple!

December 17 was a pretty big day for Macy. Not only did she turn 1 week old but she also got to meet Kinley for the 1st time. Kinley has talked about Macy for months now and has been so excited to meet her. And this was her day! She wanted to hold her the minute she walked in the door and if we would have let her she would have held her for hours! I think these 2 are going to be BIG BUDDIES and probably get into a lot of trouble together

Coming Home

We were able to leave the hospital 3 days after I delivered. And we were both ready to get Macy home to meet her Big Brother. We have wondered the past 9 months just how Spencer would react to the fact that he would have a new baby in the house... that would NOT be leaving. He is 8 years old and has been my puppy since he was 6 weeks old. So he has never had to share his momma with anyone. And he is a momma's boy! He has always been okay with our nieces and nephews and never aggressive or anything. However we could always tell he really didn't care to be around them to much especially when they would cry. So he always spends a lot of time in his crate when they are around.

Jeff brought home a couple of Macy's diaper shirts she wore while she was in the hospital and put in his crate with him so he could get a good smell of her. And he has seemed to do pretty good with her so far. He does not seem to be near as nervous with her or her cry's as he has the other kids. He seems very curious about her and when she does cry he needs to check it out and make sure she is okay. I think he knows she is ours and she is her to stay.

I can't believe that our sweet girl has already been with us a week. I mean seriously.... just yesterday I was still pregnant. The Lord has truly blessed me and Jeff with a good baby. We could not have asked for anything better. She rarely cry's, sleeps like a champ and right now she is only eating every 3-4 hours during the day and about every 4 hours at night. To which we have to wake her up to feed her. I always have said never wake a sleeping baby however with the jaundice issues she had after she was born my pediatrician wants her eating at least every 4. Which she needs to be anyways. And I can't say that I mind waking up and making sure her little belly is full. =)

We still think she is a good mixture of me and Jeff, yet on most days I would have to say she really looks like her momma. She has her daddy's chin, feet, toes, hair line... She has my lips, nose, eyes, (yet the are still a blue color) part in my hair and cow lick in the exact same place. Poor baby.

My mom (Nana) was able to spend this 1st week home with the 3 of us and help me out with my little love nugget. I am so thankful for her being here and even though she "doesn't think she did enough" She help more than she will ever know. Thanks Nana! We love you.

Miss Macy Nicole Herring!

We arrived at labor an delivery on December 9 at 9pm for my induction. We were checked in and hooked up to the IV and monitors and round 1 of cytotec was place to help efface my cervix. I started having some contractions in my back about 1 1/2 hours later which made "resting" hard to do. At 2 am my second does of cytotec was placed and after that the contractions seemed to start coming a little more frequent. Finally about 5 am I had, had all I could take and asked for some pain meds. Demerol and Phenergan it was!!!! At 6:30 am my cervix was still just 1 cm and the big gun PITOCIN was started though my IV to make my contractions more regular/stronger. My doctor came in about 8 am to check on me and see how I was progressing and much to everyone surprise. The second she walked in the door my water broke, she checked me and I was 3cm. Bring on the EPIDURAL! As soon as that was placed I started feeling somewhat better. It was not long however that I started hurting again. So we decided to have that epidural removed and have a second one place. Thank goodness we made that decision because after that I was contraction free. Yet this is when all the "fun" began. After the 2nd epidural Macy starting have some variability ( abrupt decrease in fetal heart rate) so I was placed on oxygen off and on for a while. I progressed with dilation and everything was going okay and about 6pm the variables in her heart rate were becoming more frequent and my dilation seemed to "stall" at 9.5 cm. and she was starting to ascend back up into the birth canal. My physician decided to place a scalp clip on Macy's head to monitor her heart rate more closely and immediately after doing this her heart rate dropped, And I was rushed to the OR for an emergency c/section. It all happened so quick that I honestly don't think i had time to process what was going on. All I knew was that she needed out and she needed out quick. They pushed me to the OR and Jeff was sent to change clothes and we were back together again within 5 minutes or so. According to Jeff once they started the surgery it took about 6 minutes to get Macy out. Her umbilical cord ended up being tied in a knot and then wrapped around her neck. Hearing her cry for the 1st time...... well there are no words to describe that feeling. Just to know not only was she finally here but she was okay. As far as the c-section! Well that is a whole other experience in its self. So I'll leave all those details out =) Trust me, you'll thank me!
So without further a due..

I can not believe that in just a few short days our little princess will be in our arms. And even more than that I can not believe that it has taken me SO long to get the pictures of her nursery on here. We ordered her letters that went above her bed 10 weeks ago and they finally came in. Which made her pink wonderland complete! I have had so much fun putting her room together. We decided to just paint the room a neutral color and just decorate with as much pink as I could find! =) Her bedding was custom made by a girl here in Houston and I absolutely LOVE it. I found a pattern on line but it was way more money than we were willing to spend. So when I heard about Meri Cooney (those of you who remember Michael Cooney... it's his brother's wife). I called her up and she went to work on her bumper, bed skirt, pillow, sheet and blanket. And it turned out way better than I ever thought it would. Nana and Papa bought her pretty furniture and Poppa and JuJu bought the comfy chair, that I already can't seem to stay out of. I found the pictures on each side of her window at Home Goods and they match perfectly. Her curtains and lamp came from Pottery Barn. And Kinley was sweet enough to let Macy borrow her swing. That is basically bran-new since she never even used it. Almost everything on her shelves or on her chest of drawers holds some sort of special meaning to me as certain people gave her certain things.

So with out further a due, here is where Miss Macy Nicole Herring will live!

This year we stayed in Houston for Thanksgiving, and hosted our 1st holiday for Jeff's family. I am 37 weeks so we did not think it was wise to be traveling home for the holidays. We all enjoyed spending a few days together not to mention a lot of good food. Jeff did a really good job cooking all food and everything was yummy!

Me and Jeff have so much to be thankful for this year. I still can not believe that in just a few days we will be holding our new baby girl in our arms. We have prayed for so long for her and she will be here before we know it. It is only proof yet again that no matter how long we pray for something, only the Lord knows when those prayers will be answered. In his perfect timing!
And I am beyond grateful for that timing.

29 weeks

I can't believe that I am 29 weeks and 3 days already. This pregnancy has literally flown by. I just knew that when we finally got pregnant it was going to be the longest 9 months of my life, however it has been the exact opposite. I have been doing really well, and if you ask my husband I am pretty sure he would say the same. =) Or at least that is what I hope he would say. I really have not had any problems at all. I have expected my back to really bother me a lot more than it has considering all the issues I have with it in the first place. I mean it aches and hurts from time to time but nothing that Tylenol and just laying down doesn't help. So i am pretty thankful for that. I have officially entered my third trimester, and I can defiantly tell. The first 12 weeks, I was tired a lot and could not hardly eat anything because of how fast I got so full, then the next 12 weeks rolled around and I was not near as tired and I was eating normally again, and with this last 12 weeks I am exhausted by the time I get home from work in the evenings, I hate to come home at lunch because all I really want to do it take a nap. And anyone who knows me, knows I don't do well after a nap. GroUchY! And I feel like I can't eat anything again without becoming miserable.

I had my 29 week appointment this past Wednesday and everything is looking good and I am measuring right on track. My appointments have now moved to every 2 weeks, which is kind of scary. I realized on Thursday night that I had really not felt Macy move awhole lot if at all, all day. I called my doctor, which just happens to be the ObGyn that I work for and talked to her about it. She seemed to think that everything was fine and if I still had not felt her move by Friday morning she would do a biophysical profile ultrasound on her. The BPP measures your baby's heart rate, muscle tone, movement, breathing, and the amount of amniotic fluid around the baby. The best score you can get is 8 out of 8 and that is exactly what my girl got, A+. She was moving around in there but for what ever reason I was not feeling anything. Today though she is back to her old self. =) I was able to get a couple of really good profile pictures of her which made this momma pretty happy.
My mom and sister are coming down this next Thursday for my 4D ultrasound next Friday. I am so excited to see what or rather who this munchkin looks like. So say a few prayers and keep your fingers crossed that she cooperates. So until next time enjoy these pretty pictures.

On Saturday September 18 not only did me and Jeff celebrate 16 years of being together, but we celebrated the upcoming arrival of our 1st born with a baby shower. I have dreamed about this shower for so long and it by far exceeded any expectations that I ever had. Everything from the location to the decorations to who all would be there. Everything was perfect. The only regret that I had the whole day was not being able to talk to everyone more than I did. We had to have the shower a few weeks earlier than the "normal" time frame for a baby shower due to the fact that we are busy in October and well living in Houston makes travel in November pretty much out of the question for me. 24 weeks

First of all just let me say that I am sorry for the lack of blogging going on around here. Between my computer still being on the fritz, not really doing anything to exciting lately so there for pictures are minimum, and blogger always giving me a fit when I do put some one here. Im just plain borning these days I guess.

As far as pregnancy goes... i have made it to 24 weeks. And still so far so good. I have been extremely lucky with this pregnancy to have never had 1 day of being sick or just not feeling well. I guess the only complaint that I have besides my back always giving me grief ( which is not pregnancy related in the 1st place) Is the simple fact that I CAN NOT sleep anymore. I dont know if this happens to all pregnant people, but it is seriously driving me up the wall. I mean I totally expect this when she gets here. But I sleep on average around 5 hours every night. I am used to 8 hours. I find myself at least 4-5 nights a week getting up around 4am and just walking around my house (in the dark) just for the simple fact that I can not lay down anymore. I walk around for about 10-15 minutes and get back in the bed. Weird I know, but its the only thing that works.

I had my monthly check up last week and everything is going well with Miss Macy. Her growth and everything is right on track. And according to parentconnect.com, my little wiener schnitzel is about the length of a foot-long Chicago hot dog and weighs about 1 1/3 pounds. (although i think the est. weight may be a little big still)
I unfortunantly am scheduled for jury duty today and (fingers crossed) if I don't get picked to sit on a jury then I will be doing my glucose tolerance test on Thursday. I had to do this test about a year ago and although its not the best thing I have ever had to drink its not terrible. Yet im just really not looking forward to it. So please keep me in your prayers that I pass it.

I guess that's pretty much it for now. We do have some plans in the near future so hopefully I will have lots of pictures and plently to blog about. So thats all time next time!

Cravings

Everyone keeps asking me what crazy cravings I have had during this pregnancy. And honestly I dont really think that I have had any. I mean there are a couple of things that I wake up thinking about and go to sleep dreaming about. But I have not sent Jeff out on any midnight runs for pickles and hot fries....... YET.

Since day 1 I want a snowcone everyday. And when I say everyday I mean that I found a coffee shop of all places across the street from my office that sells these bad boys buy one get 1 free. NO I dont have 2 at a time but my point is that they are cheap! And any flavor will do.

My most recent craving has been cherry icee's. I just figure if I can't get to a snowcone stand this HAS to be the next best thing. And at every convient store there a slurpee machine.

So I figure up until this point my cravings have been pretty harmless. In a calorie/weight gaining kind of way. Seriously how bad can flavored ice be. Apparently not to bad. Im 20 weeks and have not gained a pound yet!

HOWEVER, I have a feeling this may soon change. After a quick trip to the grocerie store tonight and a very bad decision to walk the ice cream isle. I discovered quite possibly the most wonderful thing ever. Strawberry Cheesecake Icecream from Blue Bell. I am not a huge ice cream eatter and I would choose Sherbert any day. But this is the most delicious thing ever... I recomend staying very far away from the ice cream isle at you local grocerie store. Whether you are pregnant or not. =) ** Have any of you had any crazy cravings while you were pregnant?**

What's in a name

Well folks our baby girl has a name. Which has made this whole experience even more real. She no longer has to go by baby, or baby girl. She actually has a name! Macy Nicole Herring
Macy: Which means Enduring. And after enduring 3 years of infertility and coming out with the best outcome,it just fit. PLUS I just love it.
Nicole: This was an easy one. It's my middle name. And it also means victory of the people. And beating infertlity is an amazing victory for a couple.
Herring: Well because I could not think of any other last name I would want to give my girl =)

Well folks... We are having a GIRL! I still can't believe it, I mean I would not have cared in the least if it would have been a boy. But I am over the moon to have a daughter. We found out on Tuesday June 28. Since I work at an ObGyn clinic, ultrasounds are pretty much at my disposal. Our "official" appt is still not until this coming Friday (7/16) But I just couldnt stand it any longer. So I had our tech scan me and not tell me what it was. She wrote it down on a piece of paper and sealed it in a envelope. On my lunch break I took my little note to Dillards and picked out 2 lovies, a pink one and a blue one. I took them to the lady behind the counter and had to explain why I was there and that I didnt know what we were having and that I wanted her to open up my envelope and without showing me to bag up which ever one it said. She laughed, bagged it up, I and was on my way.

THEN I took my Dillards bag down to Hallmark and picked out a little bag and some pink and blue paper and then explained to the lady behind the counter there what I was trying to do and asked her if she could please wrap my present without showing me what was inside. She too laughed, made me turn around, bagged my gift, i paid and left.
I honestly had to put the gift bag in the back of my car because I was afraid I would open it with out Jeff.Once I got home we went to dinner and opened our present. When Jeff pulled out the little pink lovie out of the bag I was in complete shock to say the least! I would have bet money he was going to pull out blue. I felt like I was trying to scarf down my food (as best I can these days) to get out of there and call my family. =)Everyone was just as excited as we were and no one could believe it either. With Jeff being the last Herring, I know his parents we thinking blue! Hopefully next time.
And as if my night could not get any sweeter, once I finally calmed down enough to go to bed. I was laying there watching TV and sure enough my baby girl started kicking . It was the 1st time I felt her move and it could not have happened on a more perfect day.

On June 18 my niece Camryn LeAnn turned a whole 1 year old. I still can't believe that an enire year has passes by since she joined our family. She is such a sweet baby girl and I cant wait to watch her grow up.

Sorry for the lack of blogging and the lack of pictures with this post.I am 16 weeks pregnant today. And so far so good. I have not had any morning sickness AT ALL. I know yay for me right! I have had only a couple of days of alittle nausea but nothing really that a couple of crackers and a ginger ale could cure. But to be honest I have not even had these symptoms in weeks. SO I am pretty sure I am out of the woods with that stuff. I am alittle more tired the past few days than I have been but that is just part of the territory. And Im sure it will pass soon. Stay tuned I have pictures coming soon!

I had my 12 week appointment yesterday and yes we had another ultrasound. =) I am not "supposed" to have another ultrasound until out anatomy/gender scan which is in about 9 weeks. But being a nurse in an ObGyn clinic has its perks. =) Yesterday's scan was alot of fun because we could really tell how big the baby is getting and we were able to watch her/him move all around. That part is still really weird to me knowing and seeing something wiggle all around inside yet not be able to feel anything.

Well stay tuned I am sure there will be another picture soon.

* i am alittle disappointed in the pictures that we got this time. The lady put them all on a CD after she finished the scan. And of about 10 pictures these are the only 2 that you can really tell what you are looking at. And even these are not really that great.

We are finally able to see little arms and legs. And the baby even waved Hi to mom during the scan.

I know that I am a few weeks behind on post's but for some reason I have been a little preoccupied. The last post our little one was just 6 weeks gestation. And here was our little one at 8 weeks. Yes I realize that I am now 11 1/2 weeks but like I said I'm behind.

We're Expecting.....

Well folks after 3 long year of dealing with infertility, lots of medication, a couple of surgery's and many negative test. I am happy and excited to say that we are finally expecting our 1st baby! Due December 15,2010. I am still in complete awe of the whole situation and it honestly still doesn't seem real. I can't believe that we are finally going to have our little miracle baby. I am currently a little over 6 weeks. We found out on Easter that my test was positive. And after a very short discussion we decided to share it with our parents and siblings even though we were so early. Just for the simple fact that they have been such a huge support through all of this and well...... we were not going to be seeing them for another month and there is NO way I could keep this under raps from them for that long. ;)

This past Thursday at 6weeks and 1 day we had our 1st appointment and ultrasound and we were able to see our little ones heart beat and were even able to hear it. Which being so early was such a treat! I could have laid there all day and just listened to it. Totally amazing. Right now I am not feeling to much which I guess I should be thankful for but I am ready for all of it so I almost wish it would hurry up. Other than being tired and napping a lot (which I have never really done before) I am doing pretty good.
We have another follow up in 2 weeks for another ultrasound just to make sure that everything is still going well and then my infertility specialist will release me to my regular ObGyn. So I am trying to keep my self busy so I can get through the next 2 weeks with out worrying my self to death.
Please keep us in your prayers and for this baby to have a safe journey into our arms.

We didn't have much time to figure out just how we wanted to tell our family as we were heading back to Houston later in the day. Jeff gathered his family all together and just broke the news at the same time to everyone. And of course my camera was already packed in the car so I did not get any pictures of their reactions.
For my family I decided to put a little note inside of an Easter egg and hide it as a "prize" egg. Shelly found the egg and opened it up to a little note that said . "Grandbaby #4 on the way!

Then she passed it to Nana!

Easter 2010

We had a GREAT Easter this year. We celebrated Cason coming into the world 2 days prior and we were able to spend a lot of time with our family. On Saturday we spent the day playing with the baby and Saturday night we dyed eggs, and I baked my 1st bunny cake. It turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself. On Sunday we spent the morning with Jeff's family and then headed to my parents house for lunch and to spend some time with them before heading back to Houston. It was by far the best weekend I have ever had in Waco!

Cason Lee

2 Weeks ago today(4/2/10) our 3rd little nephew was brought into the world. Cason Lee Weiss was born at 11:16 am weighing in at 7pounds 1 ounce! And looks every single bit like his BIG sister Abby. We couldn't be more happy for Jason & Tiffany. And we can't wait to see what the future holds for our new little guy.

Kinley and Abby got in some girl time too this weekend. It was so much fun watching these 2 play and giggle ALL afternoon. They hula-hooped, rode tricycles, blew bubbles, played a lot of hide & seek. And just had a good ole time being little girls. Every time they are together it takes a little warming up but they always play so well together. I can't wait till the next time they can "hang out"!
