Take Me Out To the Ballgame........

Last weekend Ryan and Kristi came to town to spend the weekend with us. Friday night we went out for some drinks and then spend the evening at the house talking and playing cards. Then on Saturday morning while the boys were sitting at home playing Madden, Kristi and I decided to go have a pedicure. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing. Saturday evening we made our way down town to an Astros game. I think it was by far the best game I have ever been to. They played really well and since the roof ended up being closed it made for a nice evening. The 4 of us had a really good time and cant wait to get together and do it again soon.

School

Well today is the day that we have all been dreading. Kinley started "school" today. Shelly said that so far she has done really well, which makes us all feel so much better. I know that they are taking good care of my girl. But its just not the same as going to Nana's. Here are a few pictures that Shelly sent me this morning of her 1st day. Camryn also started school this morning but I dont have any pictures of her 1st day. =( Auntie M hopes that both of her girls had a good day.

26 Years Young

Today is my little sisters 26th birthday! I can not believe 26 years ago today my grandparents were taking me to meet my new sister at the hospital. I was only 6 years old but I still remember everything about that day and seeing her for the 1st time behind that glass in the nursery. It's hard living so far away from her and not being able to see her on her important day and wish her a happy birthday in person rather than over the phone. :( But I know she knows how much I love her and hopes she has a great day.
Here are a couple of my favorite pictures from our vacation back in early April.

Happy Birthday Little Sister!

The Most Beautiful Rainbow

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder everytime. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.
Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin

Update on Mom

Just a quick update on my mom. She had her 2nd back surgery this past Friday, and did absolutely wonderful. This time was alittle different than last time and the doctor did what is called a laminectomy or completely removing the herniated disk. Although she may be looking at a lumbar fusion in the future due to a couple of other disk buldging. Right now all of her pain is completely gone. She only complains of some discomfort at her incision site but no pain! And what a trooper NO pain meds at all!
I just wanted to thank everyone for all your phone calls, emails and text messages checking on her the last few day. Again everything seems good at this point. Keep saying your prayers as her recovery will take the next 4-6 weeks.
